1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Safari Ride ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Safari Ride is a platform that connects drivers with passengers for ride-sharing services across Kenya. We facilitate connections but do not provide transportation services directly. Drivers are independent service providers, not employees of Safari Ride.

3. User Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Safari Ride
• You must have a valid Kenyan phone number (+254)
• Drivers must have a valid Kenyan driving license
• Drivers must have valid vehicle insurance and registration

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You must not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Payments & Fees

• All payments are processed through M-Pesa
• Passengers pay the full fare; drivers receive 90%
• Refunds are subject to our cancellation policy
• Prices are displayed in Kenyan Shillings (KES)

6. Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 1 hour before departure
• Late cancellations may incur a fee
• Refunds are processed to your Safari Ride wallet
• Wallet balance can be used for future bookings

7. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Provide false information or impersonate others
• Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews
• Use the App while under the influence of drugs/alcohol (drivers)
• Discriminate against users based on race, religion, gender, or nationality

8. Driver Requirements

• Valid Kenyan driving license
• Vehicle must be registered and insured
• Vehicle must pass safety inspection
• Must maintain minimum 4.0 rating
• Must complete verification process

9. Safety

Safari Ride prioritizes safety but cannot guarantee it. Users are encouraged to:

• Share trip details with friends/family
• Verify driver/vehicle details before boarding
• Report any safety concerns immediately
• Use the in-app chat for communication

10. Limitation of Liability

Safari Ride is not liable for:

• Actions or conduct of drivers or passengers
• Accidents, injuries, or property damage during trips
• Delays, cancellations, or service interruptions
• Loss of personal items during trips

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
